Are
you tired of rising utility bills and wish you could do something
about it? The most cost efficient thing you can do is to insulate
your attic. According to a press release from Owens Corning,
nearly 60 million homes in the U.S. are under insulated.
The new recommendations from the U.S. Department of Energy indicate
that homes in our area should have attic insulation values of
R49. Current building codes only require R38, so even new homes
can be under insulated. Your attic should have about 18" of
blown fiberglass, 16" of rolled fiberglass, or 14" of
cellulose insulation to be adequately insulated. Some insulation
manufacturers speculate that as much as 30% of a home's energy
costs can escape through an improperly insulated attic.
Brothers can insulate your home with either traditional and
reliable fiberglass or the new economical and "green" cellulose.
Each has their advantages. Owens Corning, the leader
in the field of fiberglass insulation and roofing, has certified
Brothers as a Platinum
Preferred Contractor, their highest designation. Brothers
also uses the Applegate Insulation system, the leader in the
field
of cellulose insulation.
