Lead Carpenters are responsible for all day-to-day operations onsite at their assigned project, including homeowner communication, job site organization and cleanliness, quality of craftsmanship, and solving any problems that arise. A successful Lead Carpenter will work alongside their Field Quality Manager and office support staff to relay customer communication, solve problems, and complete their projects on time and within scope.
The Lead Carpenter manages their own daily schedule and is responsible for looking between 3 and 5 days ahead to ensure smooth operation of their project. They manage sub-contractors, helpers, and other carpenters on their projects. They are responsible for meeting customer expectation, meeting quality standards, and keeping the project on schedule. Lead carpenters are 80-100% tools-on and are responsible for trim carpentry and all other aspects of the project.
